The Center for Financial Policy at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business, Salomon Center at NYU’s Stern School of Business, Fisher Center at UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business, and Center for Financial Markets at Carnegie Mellon’s Tepper School of Business are pleased to announce a Conference on Systemic Risk and Data Issues to be held on October 5-6, 2011, in the Ronald Reagan Building & International Trade Center, in Washington, D.C.

The conference is inspired by the Dodd-Frank Act and the establishment of new entities, particularly the Financial Stability Oversight Council (FSOC) and Office of Financial Research (OFR). The Center for Financial Policy (Maryland), Salomon Center (NYU), Fisher Center (UC Berkeley), and Center for Financial Markets (Carnegie Mellon) are partnering to organize the conference to bring together participants from academia, regulatory agencies, government and financial industry for an exchange of views based on presentations of research/policy papers and regulatory panels. This is an outgrowth of a working group forum held on March 9, 2011 co-hosted by the four partner institutions where a small group of academics, practitioners and regulators convened to discuss a wide range issues relating to systemic risk and data.

The program committee invites individuals to submit papers on topics related to systemic risk and data issues. Please see the Call for Papers for details.
