The Department of Finance at the University of Miami School of Business Administration, AFFECT and CIBER will jointly host the 2018 conference on Showcasing Women in Finance. AFFECT is a committee of the American Finance Association (AFA) that aims to promote the advancement of women academics in the field of finance.

The conference will be held at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. It will showcase female role models in finance and provide an avenue for more junior researchers to receive feedback on their research and careers.

The conference will begin with a reception on March 1, 2018 followed by the all-day conference on March 2. There will be five papers presented, a PhD session and a panel discussion. Each presenter will have 20-25 minutes to present his or her paper, followed by a 15-20 minute discussion. 

The conference will be followed by a panel discussion on “Can Women AFFECT Finance?
