About:

Welcome to MoneyScience, the social Network for Quantitative Finance, Risk Management and Technology Practitioners, Vendors and Academics.

It's been 7 years since MoneyScience originally launched and I'm delighted to introduce the 3rd generation of the site.

MoneyScience v3 has been built using the latest in social publishing technology, incorporating both the Elgg Open Source platform, and Thematic Network's proprietory Spine Technology.

The platform provides full social networking functionality plus the ability to fully customise your experience of the site with an easy to use 'drag-and-drop' dashboard.

While maintaining our curatorial editorial model, MoneyScience now offers users a highly interactive experience, giving you the opportunity not only to connect with other users and comment on our content, but also to contribute your own and make it available to other users, through our powerful content sharing and licensing functionality.

MoneyScience can also act as a portal and aggregation point for your other social activities, integrating with services like Twitter, Facebook and YouTube, and a wide variety of other tools.

MoneyScience is a commercial venture and as such we have responsibilities to our advertisers and partners which preclude commercial uses of the platform by users with whom we do not have a commercial relationship. As a result, we will take a strict view of non-authorised commercial promotion on the site, which will be treated as spam and result in the deletion of any offending users profile and data. You can read a bit more about the kind of activities which are prohibited here.
