Complexity, understood as the emergence of new macro properties from the interactions of basic components, is a pervasive characteristic in natural, artificial and social systems. The Conference on Complex Systems (CCS) is the biggest and most important annual meeting of the international complex systems community. It comes under the auspices of the Complex Systems Society
Oral presentations are short 15-min talks, followed by 5-min questions and answers for the Parallel Sessions (Oct 19, 20 & 23, 2020), on one of the main conference tracks.
Posters will be displayed prominently for a whole day, during the Poster Sessions. Poster presenters are expected to be at their posters during the morning and afternoon coffee breaks.
Lightning are short 5-min talks without questions and answers to share exciting research ideas during special Lightning Sessions.
Abstract submission is now open for the three type of presentations. The closing date is May 15, 2020.
Successful presenters will be notified by the end of June. Presenters must register by the end of July to have their presentations confirmed. Each presenter can register for a maximum of two presentations at Parallel Sessions (not including presentations for the Plenary Sessions or Satellite Sessions paying an additional fee).
Format requirement: Due to the large volume expected, abstracts must be prepared using CCS2020 official templates. There is a version for latex in a compressed tgz package [download the package
] , which contains the .tex template, and style file (.sty) and an example of an image in pdf. Similarly, there is another template in docx [download the template
]. Please do not modify the style of the templates. Both templates include further instructions on how to prepare the abstract. In all cases, it is important to generate a single-page double-column pdf
file and upload it to the conference easychair account: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=ccs2020
One presenting author and one or several (up to three) topics must be specified during the submission process.
Please include as well your type of contribution preferred.
