The fifth Oxford Financial Intermediation Theory (OxFIT) Conference will take place on Monday 22 and Tuesday 23 August 2016 at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.

Call for papers

You are invited to submit a paper for the fifth Oxford Financial Intermediation Theory (OxFIT) Conference. A guide to the topics and submission details are outlined below.


We are inviting high quality submissions in the area of Financial Intermediation Theory. This conference aims to bring together contributions on topics including the following:

  • Financial crises
  • Governance of Financial Institutions
  • The role of central banks and regulators
  • Financial innovation
  • International regulatory coordination
  • Certification in financial markets

Paper submission procedure

The deadline for submissions is 13 April 2016. Papers should be submitted electronically using the online form. Submit a paper

Papers will be selected and invitations extended by the end of May.

We will provide accommodation, refreshments and lunch during the conference for invited participants, as well as dinner on Monday 22 August. We have received additional funding from the EUROFIT network to fund economy travel for participants this year. Further details will be provided to successful applicants.
