2019 Research Symposium on Finance and Economics

IFMR Graduate School of Business (formerly IFMR) at Krea University invites submissions of research papers for its first Annual International Research Symposium on Finance and Economics to be held at Sricity campus, Andhra Pradesh. The symposium will focus on the following theme Financial Globalization and Economic Development: Emerging Issues and the Way Forward in Today’s Digitized World. A few selected papers presented at the symposium will be published in Journal of Emerging Market Finance, Sage Publishing. Three paper best research papers among the papers presented at the symposium will be awarded cash prizes. Broad themes include:

Finance: Corporate Finance and Governance, Financial Reporting and Regulations, Behavioral Finance, Banking, Digital Finance, Financial Inclusion, Asset Pricing and Financial Markets.

Economics: Inclusive growth and development, climate change, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), international trade, employment, and other key issues in public policy making.

Speakers who would participate in the symposium include distinguished academicians such as Prof.Pranab Bardhan (University of California at Berkeley); Prof.Tom Smith (Macquarie University, Australia); Prof.Radhakrishnan Gopalan (University of Washington); Prof.Nagpurnanand Prabhala (Johns Hopkins Carey Business School) and Prof.Bala Balachandran (La Trobe University, Australia).

Important dates: Submission opens on July 1, 2019 and closes on August 15, 2019. Acceptance notifications will be sent by September 30, 2019.

Submission guidelines: Full research papers with a title page, abstract, keywords, main text, tables, figures, references etc. should be submitted through Conference Maker. 

Use Times New Roman with 12-point font size and double spaced. For blind review process, all author-identifying information must be removed before submission.

Pre-symposium workshop: A workshop on “Causal Inference in Empirical Corporate Finance” will be conducted by Prof. Radhakrishnan Gopalan for early career researchers and doctoral students during December 10-11, 2019. Participants will have to register separately for the workshop by paying a registration fee as mentioned below on or before Nov 30, 2019.
